Heelwork: Left Turn Footwork

Notes are from a Dr. Stewart Hilliard and Forrest Micke seminar in Siloam Springs 2024, during work with seminar participants.

Special thanks to Cori of Venus & Mars and their dog Cupid for walking through this footwork with me.

Goal: Reduce your dog pushing into you during heelwork.

Rather than walking into a dog pushing into you (B), walk at a slight angle away from your dog (A).

Your left foot crosses right. Your right

foot steps normally. Take about 2-4 steps in that angled direction.

Left turn at a 90 degree angle.
